Graceful Under Pressure
At Graceful, our story is one of resilience in the face of adversity, an unwavering commitment to each other and the determination to leave no stone unturned in our search for mental and physical wellbeing. Our foundation rests on the inspiring journey of three generations of women: Leslie, Christina, and young Margaux.
Christina
Christina was the last of Leslie and Peter’s four children, unplanned, but a blessed relief after three grizzly boys! Raised tough under that trio’s gentle care, Christina’s resilience was well-developed from birth.
Her life was severely impacted by the accident that paralysed her father, leaving her battling chronic pain and anxiety. However, ultimately, these struggles honed her strength. Her journey has shaped her understanding of well-being, inspiring her to seek innovative ways to improve both physical and mental health.
Leslie
Leslie grew up in California, frolicking on Laguna Beach. At 18, she joined a local convent and spent five years as a nun. After leaving, she embarked on a cycling holiday in England, where she bumped into Peter Storie-Pugh. Just an hour after meeting, they were engaged!
Life changed forever when a car crash left Peter paralysed and their daughter Christina severely injured. For 13 years, Leslie cared for Peter in their isolated French home. Today, after Peter's passing, she lives in London with Christina, Margaux, and The Boys.
Margaux
Half-English and half-French, Margaux is the future of Graceful. Raised on stories of resilience and surrounded by the unwavering support of her mother and grandmother, and her three rowdy uncles, Margaux represents the enduring power of family bonds and the promise of a healthier tomorrow.
Adventurous, kind and creative, Margaux’s infectious laughter fills any room into which she walks. She teases her uncles relentlessly, deliberately provoking another noisy chase through the house!
